“I have a full-time job, a family, and plenty of other responsibilities. I don’t know how I’m going to care for my sick mother too.”
The number of Americans ages 65+ will more than double over the next 40 years, reaching 80 million in 2040. The number of adults ages 85+, the group most needing help with basic personal care, will nearly quadruple by 2040.
Our goal is to help minimize caregiver stress and burnout. Along with consultation related to your loved one, we are here for YOU, the caregiver. We can provide and coach you through stress management, self-care management, and general strategies to decrease the burden.
“My dad’s Lewy Body Dementia is progressing, and my mom can’t manage it by herself anymore. What are my options?”
We will help you learn about the specific dementia-type your loved one may be experiencing, along with how to manage their care effectively. This may include long-term planning and end-of-life care planning.
Aside from dementia-specific care, we can also help you through the aging process with guided education on disease process, anticipated progression and needs, available government and community resources, and referrals as deemed appropriate.
“My dad slipped in the bathroom last week. Thankfully, he didn’t have to be hospitalized. How do I make sure he doesn’t fall again?”
~30 million falls are reported among elder adults each year, resulting in >32,000 preventable deaths per year. 60% of these falls occur inside the home! Today, ~90% of adults >65 years want to remain in their own homes as they get older.
We will take you through a comprehensive home safety checklist to identify areas inside your loved one’s home in order to identify potential safety hazards that can increase one’s risk for falling.
Additionally, we will provide potential solutions to address those safety concerns in order to decrease the risk of falling inside the home.
We do not offer home visits at this time, but will be considering it as an added service in the near future.
“My parents are getting older. What do I need to know and do to prepare?”
Whether your parents have a full-proof plan in place for how they wish to age, or they have no idea, we can walk through the checklist of items one should review to best prepare for the transition.
20% of seniors will need long-term care in some capacity.
Nobody wants to prepare for needing long-term care. Doing so provides you and your loved ones a safety net in case the need arises.
“I’d love to help my employees with this to decrease their stress. How does the general population learn about this?”
Whether you are an organization looking to provide education as a benefit, a small business looking for an in-service, or a community member simply wanting to learn about a certain topic, we will work with you to create the perfect match!
